Silver Samson. His light “ten” beer succeeded in the Czech tasting competition
The light draft “ten” beer placed on the podium in the domestic tasting competition Beer of the Czech Republic 2021 and won a silver medal for Pivovar Samson. The second largest tasting competition in our country has a tradition of 25 years. The annual competition was held as part of the XXXI - 2021 International Beer Festival in České Budějovice.
Samson ten gets a silver seal in the Czech Republic
The tasting competition was held under the supervision of renowned guarantee and certification authorities. There were 39 categories of competition and Samson Ten succeeded in the Light Draft Beer category. The Samson Brewery has succeeded in quality competitions for the first time after extensive modernization of its operations.
"Recently, our beers were successful internationally in London at the World Beer Awards, and now we are also celebrating success here. The silver medal proves that we are a proud competitor to Czech beers, which are recognized worldwide. We greatly appreciate such recognition," says Daniel Dřevikovský, CEO of the Samson Brewery.

Samson Brewery Wins Five Medals at World Beer Awards
This year, the Samson brewery won five medals at the international tasting competition World Beer Awards. The special BOCK, Samson lager eleven and traditional twelve, as well as the hoppy lager and low-alcohol beers Pito were awarded. The top ten succeeded in tasting competitions for the first time this year.
"We have been focusing on modernizing production for a long time, which should ensure constant and consistent production of good beer. We are happy to receive an award in the tasting competition, but we also see it as a great commitment to maintain this quality of beer," adds Martina Lustová, quality manager at the Samson brewery.
"Our top ten is simply a classic. It is necessary to ensure the strictest adherence to technological procedures and to balance the taste correctly. Recognition in the tasting competition is a motivation for us for the future and we appreciate it immensely," says Radim Lavička, brewer at the Samson brewery.

Samson is the oldest brewery in České Budějovice, which it proudly emphasizes on its new labels. Samson has not only repeatedly won top spots in its categories in London at the World Beer Awards, but has also brought home awards from Australia (Australian International Beer Awards), Belgium (Brussels Beer Challenge) and the Beer of the Czech Republic competitions, or from tastings by Czech beer experts within the First Beer Extra League.
