Water. The perfect foundation.
Water is the foundation of good beer. At the brewery, we take it from a 274 m deep artesian well and it is unbeatable for brewing beer.

Hops. In short, unbeatable.
Samson includes Žatecký hops. I simply can't imagine our beer without them. It may be the most expensive, but it's truly the best in the world!

Malt. Mostly from South Bohemia.
Malt gives Samson its full flavor. At our brewery, we import it mainly from Tábor, and we know very well why we do it.

Yeast. They can do wonders.
Yeast works wonders with beer - during the so-called fermentation, it converts sugars into alcohol. In our brewery, we cultivate the yeast ourselves.

Glass. We're in the finals!
All our ingredients, skill and experience ultimately come together in the glass you hold in your hand, lovers of honest South Bohemian beer. Cheers!

Our beer is winning beer awards all over the world, and I am incredibly happy about that. I am most happy that you like it!
It's been a really long time, but this year beer started brewing in Budějice.
1265
Beer was first brewed in Budějice on a large scale in 1795. Samson's roots also date back to this memorable year. Budějovice's citizens, who had the right to brew beer, founded a joint company engaged in brewing and selling beer.
1795
1847
Budweiser beer was enjoyed all over the world. In 1847, they began building a brewery in the Linz suburbs, where we brew Samson today.
1974
This year, Samson invented the first beer for drivers, which you still know today as the legendary Pito. The name Pito was created by combining the words "beer" and "car" as a drink intended (not only) for motorists.
2014
In 2014, Samson was bought by AB InBev and the brewery was put back on its feet. Our beer maintains its quality in every batch, I can confirm that.
Tours
This year we are also preparing unique tours of the brewery with expert commentary and commented tastings of Samson beer directly from the tank. During them, you will learn how beer is made, take a look into the extensive underground brewery and visit the unique malthouse. More information about the dates of the tours can be found HERE.
