Another medal for Samson, this time from Germany!
The German tasting competition European Beer Star 2021 has its winners. One of them is the bright tap ten of the Samson brewery, which takes home a bronze medal from the Munich competition. A total of 2,395 beers from 44 countries competed and were evaluated in more than 70 categories.
All beers were evaluated during a two-day tasting in Gräfelfing, Munich.
The jury was made up of 130 international beer experts who evaluated the beers based on appearance, foam, aroma and, of course, taste.
"The city of Munich is considered a symbol of Bavarian brewing, and the award has even greater significance for us. Our top ten are brewed in the traditional way, but using modern technologies that ensure the high quality of our beers," says Daniel Dřevikovský, CEO of Pivovar Samson.

Samson collects more international and domestic awards
Samson ten also succeeded in the Czech tasting competition Pivo České republiky this year, where it finished with a silver medal. Other beers also did well this year, and even in London in the international World Beer Awards competition. Samson BOCK, non-alcoholic Pito, Samson lager eleven and traditional twelve, as well as the newest addition to the Samson family Nachmelený lager, succeeded there.
"After a year and a half that was difficult for the entire international brewing industry, we are very pleased that the European Beer Star 2021 competition has had such a great response. After last year's drop in the number of applications, we have now almost returned to the record level of 2019. Even in difficult times, the European Beer Star is a symbol not only of the art of brewing and the diversity of beer, but also of the optimistic spirit in the industry," answers Stefan Stang, CEO of Private Brauereien Bayern e.V. (Association of Private Breweries in Bavaria) and one of the organizers of the competition.
Pivovar Samson s.r.o. belongs to AB InBev, which is the world's largest beer producer. Other brands of this group include Stella Artois, Corona, Leffe and Beck's.
